Wingham airport hosts jet model flyers

 

   For the ninth year, Wingham’s Richard W. Levan Airport will host the Wingham Jet Rally, July 21-23.

   This year’s event starts on Friday, July 21 and ends at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 23. The event welcomes jet flyers from across Canada and the U.S. Turbine and electric powered models are welcome.

   There is a food concession open from 10 a.m. until the end of the day on Friday through Sunday. For pilots and friends there’s a banquet dinner on Saturday evening.

   Parking for non-pilots costs $5.00 per car. Camping is available on the farm beside the airport.

   The Richard W. Levan Airport, is east of Wingham at 40647 Amberley Rd.
