Wingham celebrates Canada Day with fireworks

Riverside Park will be the place to be on Canada Day in Wingham with the annual fireworks set to take place on July 1.

The fireworks, which bring both locals and visitors to the community to the picturesque park beside the Maitland River, will not be the only event either, if the Wingham Business Improvement Area has anything to say about it.

The group anticipates having some family fun activities planned for the event and ideas like a barbecue and games have been considered, however no plans have been finalized yet.

The group is looking to make Canada’s 150th birthday a Canada Day to remember.
