William John "Elvin" Parker
After a long and courageous battle with kidney disease Mr. Wilfred John “Elvin” Parker of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Clinton Public Hospital. He was 76.
Elvin was the beloved husband of Nancy (Ansell, McCullough) and a loving and kind-hearted father of Steven and Carrie McCullough, Lucan and Karen and Kurtis Smith, Ethel. He was the cherished papa of Kaylee McCullough, Ella, Sheridan, Kayde and Spencer Smith. Elvin was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Hazel Parker.
Elvin touched countless lives and will be sadly missed by many relatives, friends, and colleagues. In his professional life, Elvin practised law in Goderich and was the Area Director of Legal Aid for Huron County for 38 years. He was also a proud member of his community serving as a Trustee for the Clinton United Church.
We are so very thankful for the support of the many health professionals who have helped Elvin over the years. Special thanks to Dr. House, Dr. Rehman, Dennis Smith NP, Dr. Hay, Dr. Sumar, Dan Bachert RN, and the wonderful hemodialysis staff of AMGH and University Hospital.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton United Church, 105 Ontario Street, Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Clinton United Church, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the Hemodialysis Unit at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital would be appreciated.
