Prohibition in Huron County

Explore the story of prohibition and temperance in Huron County.   Previous to prohibition, there were many taverns up and down the roads of the County, and the Gaol housed prisoners not only for public drunkenness but also violations of the Scott Act.  Temperance calls brought about years of prohibition. At the Huron County Museum, 110 North St., Goderich. www.huroncountymuseum.ca
