Goderich Co-op Gallery brings artists together

Nestled on the lower floor of Elizabeth’s Art Gallery, 54 Court House Square in Goderich, is the Goderich Co-op Gallery, which brings together the work of 20 artists from across Huron County.

For going on 15 years the members of the gallery have been coming together to display their work and take turns in maintaining the gallery. Members’ work includes everything from painting in various styles and media to photography, glass-work, bird carvings and work in wood.

As well as a place to display members’ art and sell the work of a few non-members on consignment, the gallery is a place to encourage artists and art supporters with periodic lectures on topics like how to buy original art. Once a year the gallery sponsors a non-juried show in which artists can enter works and offer them for sale if they wish.

The gallery is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
